Abstract
511,465. Bed-settees. VEENEMANS, B. Sept. 30, 1938, No. 28447. [Class 52 (ii)] In a bed-settee of the kind comprising a boxlike compartment containing the bed and having a hinged cover 8 which when closed forms the seat of the settee, the cover has hinged thereto a flap 12 which forms the back-rest. The settee has raised end portions 6, and the flap 8, which is hinged to the rear wall at 9, covers the lower middle section, and is preferably in two parts hinged together longitudinally at 11. The backrest 12 is normally supported by pins 15; but in conversion to a bed folds down on the rear part of the cover. 8, the two parts of the latter being then folded together about the hinge 11. The top flaps of the end parts 6 are hinged to the end walls, and carry the pins 15.
