511,094. Kinematograph projectors. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. July 4, 1938, No. 19754. Convention date, July 7, 1937. [Class 97 (i)] Two projectors, each having a high pressure mercury-vapour lamp with contracted discharge path housed in the projector head, and feed and take-up reels located in tandem in a casing behind the projector head, are arranged one over the other, and at least the light source, the picture frame, and the objective of each projection head, are mounted on a separate member rotatable about a horizontal axis. As shown, plates 1, 2, rotatable in a single frame 3, respectively carry the projector heads 4, 5, and sound units 10, 11. The lamps are housed in recesses closed by screw caps 6, 7, and the heads are movable with respect to the film guides by rotation of hand wheels 8, 9. The reels 13; 14 for each projector are housed in one of two boxes 15, 16 each divided into separate chambers and closed by a single door, and the take-up reels are driven from belt discs 19, 20. A plate 12 protects the lower projector head against dirt and water from the upper head. A housing 22 may support the projectors and contain the amplifiers, &c. Specification 488,646 is referred to.
