Abstract
510,596. Hunting-switches. WHISTLE CROFT, A. W. Jan. 31, 1938, No. 2950. [Class 38 (v)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] In a control system more particularly for positioning a loop aerial 1 from a remote point, the aerial is operated by a motor 5 under the control of a manually set follow-up switch 4, the follow up element of which is driven by the motor through a shaft 11. The switch comprises two pairs of contacts 17, 18 adapted to be set by a handle 2 and co-operating respectively with semi-circular cam surfaces 15b, 15a on the follow-up cam-plate 15. Movement of the contacts from the position shown in which both contacts are open, causes closure of one or other pair and operation of one of the relays 19, 20 to drive the motor in the appropriate direction until the cam-plate 15 allows the operated contacts .to reopen.
