Abstract

509,651. Front glasses for vehicle lamps. SLAWIK, M. July 11, 1938, No. 20496. Convention date, Jan. 21. [Class 75 (ii)] In a front glass for vehicle lamps of the kind having a metal net screen 2 applied thereto, the screen is provided on the upper half 1a only of the glass 1. The screen, which has a mesh size of from 2 to 6 m.m., is embedded in the glass near the outer face thereof, while, to the rear surface of the upper half 1a, yellow colouring matter is applied. This colouring matter may consist of a mixture of 75 per cent. silver chrome and 25 per cent. ceramic yellow colour and may be applied to the glass in the form of an enamel lacquer and subsequently burnt in. Semi-annular concentric strips 3, 4 are left uncoloured. The lower half 1b of the glass is slightly ribbed.
