Abstract
509,645. Pneumatic tyres. LAMBERT, W. H. Nov. 23, 1938, No. 16351. [Class 144 (ii)] The air-tube consists of a series of separate closed chambers 1, which may be divided by transverse or other webs 1c, Fig. 2, secured to a canvas or like rim-seating band 2. The chambers may be inflated through separate valves 1b, Fig. 2, preferably connected to a common distributing-valve ; or, as shown in Fig. 3, adjacent chambers may be connected by branch-pipes 1f to admit of simultaneous inflation through a single valve 1h fitted to one of the branches, manually-operated cocks 1g being provided in the other branches. The tyre may be fitted with a protective lining formed of steel. plates, as described in Specification 501,946.
