509,586. Vehicle wheels. SOC. ANON. DES PNEUMATIQTJES DUNLOP. Feb. 6, 1939, No. 3855. Convention date, Feb. 18, 1938. Addition to 489,825. [Class 144 (i)] In a traction device comprising blades 10 fitted in taper housings in a ring 5 on the wheel, means are provided to prevent radial displacement of the blades through centrifugal action, clogging, etc. In the form shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the blade 10 is fitted with a lug 20 which acts as a stop against the attachment nut 12. In the modification shown in Fig. 8, the blade 10 is formed with wedge seatings 22, 25 for the nut 24, the attachment bolts 11 projecting obliquely from the ring 5. As shown in Fig. 9, the blades may be of I-section with the main body of the blade clear of the ring 5.
