508,747. Bolting; nuts. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 11, 1938, No. 23737. Convention date, Aug. 13, 1937. [Class 89 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] In a flanged joint for a conduit or turbine casing having alternate bolts arranged in inverse positions, each nut overlapping and bearing on the heads of adjacent bolts, the heads 19 are disposed in recesses in the flanges 11, 13. The heads are screwed on to the bolts and a disc 23, having a rib 24 engaging a slot in the head, is interposed between each head and the overlapping nut.
