[Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] An adjustable lamp supporting bracket comprises tubular members 5, 9, enclosing the lamp leads and connected together by helical parts 7, 8 at the tube ends slidable one in another. The support is carried by a wall plate 1 having a vertical bearing 2 for a tube 5, the bearing having a lateral slot 3 through which projects a pin 6 on the tube 5 to prevent longitudinal displacement of the tube. The tube 5 is bent into a helix 7 on or in which a helical part 8 of the tube 9 is slidable. One of the tubes may have a slightly larger radius of curvature than the other to produce friction between them. The tube 9 is U-shaped at 11 and connected to a tube 13 carrying the lamp 14 by a U-shaped tube 12. The tubes 11, 13 may be connected by a flexible tube within the U-shaped tube 12. Slidable members 17 connect the tubes 9, 12 and the leads 16 are enclosed in the tubes. A tongue 10 on the tube 5 bears against the tube 8 to form a resilient holding member.
