Abstract
507,269. Bee venom. FORSTER, J., RUHLAND, F., FORSTER, K. A., and HUG. H., (trading as MACK NACHFOLGER, H.). July 22, 1938, No. 21817. Convention date, Aug. 4, 1937. [Class 81 (i)] Bee venom is obtained by placing the bees between plane surfaces covered with an absorbent such as felt, cloth, paper, leather or the like, and bringing the surfaces together to slightly compress the bees and cause them to sting the absorbent material from which the venom is then obtained by extraction. In modifications, the bees are passed between endless bands running over rollers or between adjustable rollers covered with absorbent material. Known methods in which bees are caught singly and allowed to sting a liquid or an absorbent, or in which the bees are treated with ether or other narcotic, are referred to.
