Abstract

507,258. Condensers. MURPHY RADIO, Ltd., and TRUSCOTT, D. N. March 16, 1938, No. 8168. [Class 37] A fixed condenser is associated with a trimming condenser, the means for securing the fixed condenser serving also for adjusting the trimmer. In the example shown in Fig. 2, a fixed, cartridge-type condenser, which may comprise two sections 7, 8 end to end, with a common terminal 9, is held in a mounting by a screw 3, by which a variable pressure can be exerted on a flexed electrode of a variable condenser 4. In Fig. 3 the outer end of the condenser is supported on a spring 14 the inner end resting in a groove of a rotatable disc 12 having a cam surface 13 pressing against a variable electrode of the trimming condenser 4.
