Abstract

506,943. Siphon bottles. EUGSTER, E. J. P. March 10, 1938, No. 7519. [Class 14 (i)] Relates to cast or moulded siphon heads of the short lever type, and consists in the provision of a brass or like liner 5 which provides a guide for the valve spindle head 11a and a bearing for the inner end of the lever 10. The bearing is furnished by an aperture 6a between projecting lugs 6, which are bent out of the liner opposite to a longitudinal slot 7 through which the lever extends. The liner is embedded in the head so as to be flush with its inner surface. The bearing may, alternatively, be furnished by a dimple in the liner.
