504,210. Ornamenting. MACDONALD, H. D. Dec. 30, 1937, No. 36077. [Class 93] [Also in Group XVII] A vanity or like case comprises two frame members 10, 11, hinged together at 12, the member 10 comprising a transparent or translucent plate 17, e.g. of celluloid, which is exposed to view on both sides when the case is open, and a member 23 (e.g. a mirror or piece of stainless steel) having a reflecting surface which, when the case is closed, lies under the plate 17 and reflects light therethrough. The member 23 is hinged to one side of the frame 10, and is spring-biassed away from the plate 17. The plate 17 has embedded in both sides thereof perforated metal sheets 19 designed to give an ornamental appearance. The celluloid plate 17 may be partly or wholly coloured; different parts may be of different colours. The frame 11 contains cosmetic receptacles 14, 15. A cosmetic pad 24 may lie between the plates 17 and 23.
