[Class 3 (ii)] A letter, numeral, or the like provided with a slow drying adhesive so that it can adhere to a transparent support and be repeatedly removed and replaced without reducing its adhesive properties, is characterized in that the adhesive is applied to the obverse face of the letter so that it does not alter the outline thereof and has a greater surface adherent to the letter than the surface it offers for adhesion to the transparent support. As shown, a letter 1 is secured to the back of a window 5 by a viscid adhesive strip 2 which is applied by a cement gun and allowed to dry with the letter in a horizontal position. The surface of the adhesive is lightly pressed by a tool to form a depression 4 whereby the adhesive only contacts with the window at the surfaces 3. If the outlet orifice of the cement gun is circular, the depression 4 forms itself automatically in the cement.
