Abstract

[Class 132 (iii)] A toy adapted to walk or travel on an inclined surface without the aid of clockwork consists of a figure hollow and open at the bottom, having arms and/or legs mounted on tubular bearings D through which passes a spindle E the tubes being set up about 5‹ from the horizontal to give the limbs a splay. The feet are set on the legs slightly out of the vertical axis of the legs and have their bases inclined about 5‹ to the horizontal plane. An elastic strip K is placed across the open lower part of the body to limit the stride and give a forward kick, by engaging the back of the legs. The arms C may be jointed. Washers F and G between the tubes and at the sides are provided.
