Abstract
500,951. Distributers for manures, seeds, &c. OGLE, A. July 20, 1938, No. 20016/37. [Class 6(i)] A reciprocating member H in the hopper of a distributer as described in Specification 449,014 is actuated-by a cam D on the axle A which reciprocates a slide E beneath the hopper, the slide being connected to the member H by levers and a device which allows of angular adjustment of the hopper. One of the land wheels C may be mounted loosely on the axle A, the other being fixed thereto, or both wheels may be connected to the axle by free wheel clutches of the pawl-and-ratchet type so that either of the wheels will rotate the axle A when the implement is drawn forward. The cam D has a periphery of zigzag shape which engages rollers F carried by the slide E. The latter is supported in slides E<1> and carries two plates M between which is the end of an arm L fixed to an axle K carried in a bearing K' which is fixed on the hopper. The other end of the axle K is fitted with an arm N to which is pivoted a link O connected to the member H. Movement of the slide E is transmitted through the arm L, axle K arm N and link O to the member H, angular adjustment of the hopper being permitted by the sliding connection between the end of the arm L and plates M.
