500,941. Type - printing telegraphy. KLEINSCHMIDT, E. E. July 16, 1937, No. 35587/38. Convention date, Aug. 13, 1936. Divided out of 499,033. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (iii)] A rotary member set to one of thirty-two positions by incoming signals carries pivoted spider arms one of which is tilted by a bailmember to position a selected type-bar lever for operation by a second bail-member. In certain positions of the rotary member a function-operating arm, e.g. for carriage shift, is selected to bring a roller on an operating lever into engagement with a continuouslyrotating cam. The invention is described with reference to apparatus identical with that shown in Figs. 23-30 of Specification 499,033. Specification 473,614 also is referred to.
