Abstract

500,413. Handle-bar muffs. OTTEN, J. W. June 11, 1938, No. 17389. [Class 136 (iii)] A muff adapted to be attached to the handle bar of a bicycle &c. comprises a bag-like cover 1 of flexible water and wind proof material, such as rubber &c. with a lining 2 of wool &c., and formed with a relatively narrow tubular extension 3 closed at its end. This extension is adapted to be turned inwards, as shown in Fig. 2, to fit over the hand grip of the handle bar, to which it may be secured by a spring or elastic ring inside the muff. A second extension similar to the part 3 may be provided to fit over the brake handle.
