Abstract

499,169. Fluid-pressure servomotorcontrol systems. COCKBURNS, Ltd., and GRANT, T. April 4, 1938, No. 10195. [Class 135] [Also in Group XXVI] Comprises an improvement in the engine and stop-gear device described in Specification 206,381, [Class 122 (iv)], whereby bodily endwise adjustment of the turbine motor is effected through mechanism embodying a worm wheel 14 which movement is communicated to the normally stationary cage 12 of the supplementary valve 4 so that the predetermined port overlap is maintained. A lever 15 pivoted at 16, is connected at 18 with a boss 19 on the cage 12 which is adjusted axially within the casing 20. The wheel 14 has a cam 22 which engages a spring-pressed plunger follower 23. The lever 15 has a pin-and-slot connection with a nut 26 on the plunger. The nut 26 and a flange 30 on the plunger are secured by a padlock which is removed for adjustment.
