499,003. View-finders for photographic cameras. KODAK, Ltd. June 23, 1938, No. 18647. Convention date, July 21, 1937. [Class 98 (i)] A collapsable camera comprises a viewfinder opening in the camera body and a complementary front view-finder element carried by the lens panel so that the element and opening are in alignment in the extended position of the camera and the element is accommodated within the opening when the camera is closed. In a camera, Fig. 1, having a direct view-fmder, the view-finder opening 6 is formed in an enlargement 5 of the camera body 1 and is provided with a lens 7. The front view - finder element 8 comprises a frame 9 integral with the lens board 2 and accommodating a lens 10 ; when the camera is closed, the element 8 is received in a recess 11 formed in the opening 6 ; if desired, the lenses may be omitted. In a modification, Fig. 3, a reflex finder is provided : in this form, a mirror 21 or prism is positioned in the opening 61, a lens 71 being provided in the side wall 20 of the enlargement 5.
