489,459. Photographic view-finders. JAHRESUHREN-FABRIK GES. A. SCHATZ & SOHNE, and HEIM, R. Aug. 5, 1937, No. 21617. [Class 98 (i)] A finder for photographic or kinematograph cameras, for direct or reflex viewing, comprises a housing 1 having a field lens 7, eye lenses 9, 11 in the rear and top walls, and an inclined transparent glass disc 5 which transmits rays to lens 9 and also reflects rays to lens 11. The housing may be painted inside with a dark colour, either wholly or on the base only. The glass disc 5 may be coloured, e.g. blue. The finder may be attached by a dovetail guide 3 to the camera, or be hinged to a baseplate so attached, the hinge being along an edge of the finder parallel to the axis of the camera to permit view-finding also from one side, or from an intermediate direction.
