[Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv)] A vehicle or like lamp is provided with (a) a plurality of paraboloidal reflector portions C, D, E, Fig. 1, or C<2>, D<2>, Fig. 2, which produce a forwardly directed beam parallel to the axis of the system and are so arranged that the beams reflected therefrom are immediately adjacent and do not fall upon the non-reflecting surface of any other portion, and (b) a rear reflector F, F', Fig. 1, or R<2>, Fig. 2, this reflector being so shaped as to produce, around the beam projected by the outermost reflector portion E or D<2>, a beam, either parallel therewith as in Fig. 1, or divergent as in Fig. 2. In the latter case, by suitably varying the shape of the rear reflector R<2>, the area on to which the outer beam is directed may be equally or unequally illuminated as desired. A concave lens B<1> or B<2> is provided within the innermost reflector portion to produce a central beam parallel to the axis of the system. Fig. 7 shows the invention applied to a vehicle lamp in which the reflector portions R, R<1>, together with the central lens and the windows G<3>, G', are mounted in a front casing G<1> attached to the main lamp casing G by a holding ring G<4>. The rear reflector R<2> may be carried by a spider secured to the casing G or may be formed as a unit with the front casing G<1> so as to be removable therewith.
