Abstract

497,464. Reservoir pads. MACMICHAEL, H. R. March 25, 1938, No. 9195. [Class 19] A dauber 20, Fig. 1, for spreading pastes is made non-penetrable on its outer face 21 and may be non-penetrable on its inner face 23 or may be cemented to a nozzle 33, Fig. 4. The dauber material 24 is flexible and similar to sponge rubber. In a modification, the top layer 21 is underlaid with a textile layer to prevent distortion. A flexible container 11 is threaded at 14 to engage a threaded cap 15 perforated at 17 for ventilation. The non-penetrable face 21 is preferably slightly roughened. The face 21 may be of rubber or imitation leather. The daubers may be formed of moulded sheet, double thickness, cut in two and separate daubers cut or stamped out.
