Abstract

495,963. Interrupters. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and GRIFFITHS, L. May 22, 1937, No. 14296. [Class 38 (v)] An interrupter comprises a pair of contact blades 18, 19 actuated through a steel plunger 17 by a cam 14 of laminated insulating material driven by spur gearing 13, 12 and worm gearing 6, 3, from the shaft 1 of a generator of the type described in Specification 395,404, [Group XXXV]. The interrupter is stated to be applied in connection with an electromagnetic counter so as to constitute a mileage recorder for road vehicles, the generator being driven by the vehicle and used as a speed recorder.
