Abstract

493,522. Operating - appliances for sliding windows &c. PIPER ELECTRIC BLIND OPERATOR, Ltd., and PIPER, G. S. April 9, 1937, No. 10231. [Class 20 (iii)] A sliding partition, window &c. is operated by an endless band or chain 23 driven by one or two electric motors mounted on the back of the panel 10, the chain engaging the window by means of a pin 16 which enters a slot 15 in a lug 14 on the window. The motor is controlled by a pair of hand-operated switches in circuit with a relay for reversing the motor. The chain carries two contacts 17, which coact with two push switches to open the motor circuit when the window &c. is at either extreme position. An electric circuit is described.
