[Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v)] A circuit comprises two multiplier structures with their input and output electrodes connected in push-pull, the structures being in a single envelope. In one form, electrons from two filaments pass control grids and enter, through apertures in a positively biassed screen, two multipliers of the crossed electric and magnetic fields type. The secondary cathodes are opposite surfaces of a series of single plates. Two series of horse-shoe magnets, straddling the tube, are provided. In a modification, Fig. 2, the controlled streams enter through apertures 30 the space between secondary cathodes 38, 39 between which they are oscillated, finally reaching output electrodes 41, 42. A magnetic focusing field may be employed. In either form the two streams may be set up by push-pull deflection control of a single primary stream. The stabilizing arrangements described in Specification 491,773 may be employed. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that the two multiplier devices may be in separate envelopes. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
