Abstract

493,023. Handle - bars ; cycle lamp mountings. SCHELLENBERG, O. March 28, 1938, No. 9409. Convention date, March 27, 1937. [Class 136 (iii)] [Also in Group XI] In a cycle handle-bar, a coupling member adapted to be attached to the steering-stem and to receive the handle-bars proper is formed as a lamp casing. The coupling member 1 is formed with recesses 2 to receive the handlebars 3, and with a socket 8, Fig. 3, to fit on the steering-stem 9. An electric lamp 10 is mounted between contacts 11 in an elongated casing 12 fitted with a lens 13 and with a reflector 6, which is adapted to be oscillated for dipping &c. by means of a shaft 14 with a knob 15. The lamp 10 is provided with current from a dynamo, or from a battery 5 contained in a chamber 4, which is closed by a slide 16.
