Abstract
492,369. Gas blast switches. SIEMENS - SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT. - GES. Dec. 14, 1936, Nos. 34289, 34290, 34291, and 34292. Convention dates, Dec. 13, 1935, Jan. 9, 1936, March 14, 1936, and Oct. 5, 1936. [Class 38 (v)] [Also in Group XXXV] The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises a rotary contact rectifier, having a synchronously rotating contact 5<1> mounted on a hollow shaft 6<1> and co-operating with a stationary contact 71 in a housing 8<1> filled with compressed air. From the rear edge of the contact 5<1> a conduit 9<1> opens into the hollow bore of the shaft, and a second conduit 101 extends through the housing near the rear edge of the'contact 7<1>. The flow of air from the housing through the conduits extinguishes the are formed on separating the contacts. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
