Abstract
490,465. Switch-covers. SAX & CO., Ltd., J., and ABBOTT, J. E. Jan. 13, 1937, No. 1016. [Class 38 (v)] A switch comprises a spring contact arm E extending under a second spring contact arm G so as to be spaced from it. When a lid, comprising a metal ring L and a glass plate M, is placed on the box K, it depresses buttons C and J so as to move both contact arms downwards and keep them spaced apart. Button J is held by the part L, but button C is held by the glass M so that on breaking the glass, contact arm E rises and contacts at I with spring arm G. This arrangement allows for adjustment and inspection without completing the circuit.
