Abstract
488,649. Clothes and dish washing- appliances. BURSLEM, R. Dec. 7, 1936, No. 33468. [Class 138 (i)] [Also in Group VIII] An appliance of the kind which is immersed in a liquid and supplied with air under pressure which issues as jets, comprises an elongated, tapering chamber C, Fig. 1, from which project lateral conduits D formed with apertures 4. The conduits are fitted with sleeves E connected to a rock-shaft F by which they may be simultaneously moved to bring sets of holes 6, 7 therein of different sizes over the holes in the conduits to vary the size of the jets. The holes in the sleeves and conduits may be countersunk. The parts are mounted on a hollow base fitted with apertures B on the top and further apertures a<2>, Fig. 2, which are covered with gauze, the base acting as a collector for refuse.
