Abstract

488,009. Shirts. JONES, F. Dec. 24, 1937, No. 35731. [Class 141] A looped elastic member 6, or 11, is secured to the inner side of the placket facing 1 of the shirt, or to the outer side of the inner overlapping front portion 2 of the shirt, and is adapted to be extruded through one of the buttonholes 5 in the placket facing, and attached to a button 9 on the trousers. The ends of the elastic member 6 are secured to the placket facing 1 by means of the rows of stitching 3, 4 securing the placket facing to the shirt body. A closed loop may be formed at the end of the elastic member by means of a binding member 8. The ends of the looped elastic member 11 are secured under one of the buttons 12 on the portion 2 by stitching passing through the button.
