Abstract
487,291. Type-printing telegraphy. CREED & CO., Ltd. Sept. 10, 1937, No. 24720. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1936. [Class 40 (iii)] In a receiving selector mechanism operated by a start-stop cam assembly, the commencement of rotation of the latter takes place after the receipt of the start signal, the time interval therebetween being adjustable. The stop position of the cam assembly is invariable. The Specification describes a sword and T-type of selector as described in Specification 415,768. Receipt of the start signal allows armature lever 22 to depress plunger 101 to remove latch 98 from the stop gate 96 which rotates to allow a disc 64 to be driven by the main shaft 51. The projection 104 on disc 64 rotates a stop latch 84 to release an arm 91 on the cam assembly whereupon the latter rotates with the disc 64. The position of the stop gate 96 relative to the latch 84 is adjustable by rotation of the lever 93 attached to a plate on which the stop gate 96 is pivoted. On the completion of its revolution disc 64 is arrested by the stop gate 96 which is latched during the stop signal while the cam assembly is arrested by the stop latch 84.
