Abstract

486,376. Vulcanizing rubber shoes. BATA AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST. Aug. 23, 1937, No. 23116. Convention date, Aug. 21, 1936. [Class 70] Shoes with rubber soles are vulcanized on hollow lasts in a closed space which is preferably thermally insulated to the outside, hot air or other medium being circulated by a suction source such as a fan to the interior of the lasts, thence to the vulcanization space and over heating bodies back into the lasts, which circuit is constantly repeated. As shown. air is circulated by a fan 3 up a pipe 9, into the lasts, out into the vulcanizing space, over a steam heating coil 6 and into the fan space again. The shoes are thus uniformly heated from within by the circulating hot air and from without by the heat radiated from the heating coil 6.
