Abstract
A refractory composition for use in making moulds used in the manufacture of glass dentures may be prepared by heating a mixture of 1 part plaster of Paris with 2 parts silica to 750 to 1100 DEG C., and adding 2 parts of such burnt mixture to 1 part of a similar but unburnt mixture. Alternatively an unburnt mixture of equal parts of Albastone (silica 2 parts, plaster of Paris 1 part) and silica may be used.
