Abstract

482,723. Brackets. JONES, C. B. Oct. 3, 1936, No. 26878. [Class 52 (v)] A device for supporting wall tables, shelves, &c. comprises a vertically slotted wall plate 15 for engagement by a hook 9 on the table &c., having one edge stepped at 10 to form the hook and sloped at 11, the nose being rounded and including a segmental part 12 struck about an axis X situated forwardly of the step, the hook being placed into the slot with the table &c. in an inclined position and swung to the position of use shown, in which it completely fills the slot. The free end of the table &c. is supported by a folding leg. Fig. 6 shows shelf supports in which the hook 21 engages behind the upper edge of the slot and an integral stay 19 has a tongue 22 adapted to engage a lower slot in the wall plate 24. The wall may be recessed behind the plate or the plate may be spaced from the wall. The wall plate may have a horizontal row of slots for adjustment of the table &c. along the wall.
