[Class 58] A beater bar for a thrashing-machine has its leading portion 2 inclined relatively to its rear portion 1 at an angle of between 120 and 130‹, preferably at an angle of 126‹. The ribs on the bar run off tangentially from the junction of the two parts, and drop sharply to the end of the rear portion. The flanks 7 of the ribs facing the direction of thrashing are vertical while those 8 on the opposite side are inclined.
