Abstract

479,529. Seats, tables, &c. BREUER, M. Aug. 12, 1936, Nos. 22238 /36 and 19800/37. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iii)] A chair, table, or stool is made solely from thin sheet material bent twice to form two opposite leg parts and a horizontal top or seat 5 so that the leg parts 1, 3, consist of plane strips with their plane surfaces facing one another. A part 6 of the material may be turned up to support a back 7. The leg parts may diverge from the top downwardly, so that the articles may be stacked, and pads 9 of rubber or the like may be provided to fix the position when stacked. In a modification, Fig. 3, a central piece 15 is joined by tenons &c. to two side pieces 1a, 2a, forming the legs. The material may be plywood or synthetic resin.
