[Class 141] A bathing-costume for womens' wear comprises two upper front pieces 2, 3, which are secured together at their lateral edges f o, f<1> o<1>, corresponding to the centre front of the costume, and at their lateral and convex lower edges b d, b<1> d<1>, d, e f, d<1> e<1> f<1>, to the upper edges B C, B<1> C<1>, D E F, D<1> E<1> F<1>, of a large piece 1 which forms the back and remainder of the front of the costume, and the longitudinal edges F J and F<1> J<1> of which are joined together at the centre front 5 of the costume. The piece 1 is provided with a V-shaped notch B A B<1> at the rear, and with side notches B C D, and B<1> C<1> D<1>. The parts F G, F<1> G<1>, of the longitudinal edges of the piece 1 are directed towards the interior of the piece so as to tighten the costume just below the breasts, and the parts G H I, G<1> H<1> I<1> of the longitudinal edges are curved concavely so that the costume will press tightly in the region of the abdomen. The costume is provided with a crotch-piece 4. The warp threads of the fabric used for the two upper front pieces 2, 3, are disposed parallel to the lower edges d e, d<1> e<1> thereof.
