461,046. Girdle trunks. BOUDO, A. Feb. 11, 1936, No. 4119. Convention date, Nov. 6, 1935. [Class 141] Girdle trunks are made from a band of elastic fabric or rubber sheet having zones 1, 2, 3, of different elasticity, the sides of the band being joined together at the top centre front leaving two slits at the bottom to accommodate a separate crotch piece 7. The middle zone 2 is stronger than the zones 1, 3 and is arranged to lie above the pubis in wear. In a modification, the zone 3 may be dispensed with. In a further modification, the trunks are made from two bands of material joined together at the front and back. The seams are masked by means of braiding and stiffeners are also provided.
