Abstract
478,369. Bushes for bolt - holes. SIMMONDS, O. E., and SIMMONDS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, Ltd. July 22, 1936, No. 20262. [Class 89 (i)] An attachment fitting for adjustably securing together unit structures or objects comprises several cylindrical bushes &c. fitting one within the other, each bush being rotatably mounted within a bore &c. formed eccentrically in the surrounding bush, and the innermost bush being formed with a bore or seating disposed eccentrically to the central axis thereof. An inner cylindrical bush 1 having an eccentric bore 2 which may be threaded, is disposed in an eccentric bore in an outer cylindrical bush 3, the bushes being rotated to adjust the bore 2 relatively to the seating of the bush 3 to bring it opposite a bore on the unit to be secured to the unit carrying the bush by a bolt passed through the bores. In a link or an adjustable eye or fork there may be two series of bushes those in the link being disposed at right-angles to one another. The bushes are held together by overlapping flanges 5, 6 or by an outwardly extending flange engaging in a recess in the next bush. Alternatively a locking wire is disposed in circumferential recesses in adjacent walls of the bushes. Specification 11722/99, [Class 145], is referred to.
