Abstract
477,117. Kinematograph apparatus. PATHE CINEMA, ANCIENS ETABLISSEMENTS PATHE FRERES, (in Liquidation). Jan. 29, 1937, No. 2619. Convention date, July 17,1936. [Class 97 (i)] In film magazines wlierein the film rolls are housed in recesses having their centres separated by a distance less than the diameter of a complete film roll, and comprising a movable partition between the rolls, the film is guided so as not to pass between the rolls, and the partition is allowed to engage both film rolls. As shown, the partition comprises a blade 8 of fibre, metal, &c., formed with a lug 9 engaging a cylindrical cavity 10 having a flaring aperture 11. A washer 12 in a recess 13 holds the blade in place, and a rib 14 reduces resistance to its movement ; ribs may also be carried by the blade to engage the film. The film passes from a roll 15 in a recess 2 through a guide 4, and to a core 7 in a recess 3 through a guide 5, and the rolls are engaged by the blade 8. The partition may be modified so as to have its ends moving in guides parallel to the line joining the centres of the recesses.
