[Class 83 (iii)] A guide tube for supporting stock bar in lathes and like machines comprises a metal casing with a wooden lining. The casing may have an opening 4 for a stock feed member and the wooden lining which may be of Michigan Hard Rock Maple impregnated with hot tallow, is made in two long sections 2 keyed together at 3, or may be made in shorter sections with felt or like insertions between the sections for the purpose of lubricating the stock bar.
