Abstract
<PICT:0476556/III/1> In emulsifying-apparatus in which the material to be emulsified is forced past a valve 1 loaded by a spring 2, a narrow annular recess 4 on the delivery side of the valve is provided to produce turbulence in the materials treated with a minimum formation of continuous vortices. For example, with an entry conduit \ba3/16\be inch diameter and a valve head 1 of 0,29 inch diameter, the recess 4 is \ba13/32\be inch in diameter with a width of 0,03 to 0,05 inch and the delivery aperture containing the spring 2 is \ba5/16\be inch diameter. Specification 15774/13, [Class 1 (1)], is referred to.
