Abstract

In the production of saturated hydrocarbons of the gasoline type by catalytic hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbons having a boiling point range similar to that of gasoline obtained by polymerizing unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbons in the presence of a stationary hydrogenation catalyst, the catalyst is contacted with water vapour. This may be supplied to the reaction space either in vapour or liquid form. Specification 424,748, [Group III], is referred to.ALSO:In the production of saturated hydrocarbons of the gasoline type by catalytic hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbons having a boiling point range similar to that of gasoline obtained by polymerizing unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbons in the presence of a stationary hydrogenation catalyst, the catalyst is contacted with water vapour. This may be supplied to the reaction space either in vapour or liquid form. Specification 424,748 is referred to.
