Abstract

475,566. Casting composite artificial teeth. SANSINENEA, P. M. Feb. 14, 1936, No. 4596. Void. Convention date, Feb. 14, 1935. [Class 83 (i)] [Also in Group VI] In the manufacture of artificial teeth, a nucleus 1 of metal or other material resisting the melting temperature of gold, platinum or similar metal is enclosed in wax 3 shaped in accordance with the tooth to be reproduced, and is mounted by means of pin 2 in a mould 4; molten metal is poured into the mould, replacing the wax coating. Air, dirt, &c. escapes through hole 7. The pin 2 is of rectangular cross-section, is dovetailed at one end, and its sides may be scored or marked with teeth perpendicular to its length.
