292,920. Jacquemont Du Donjon, N. P. N. V. June 25, 1927, [Convention datel. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Casting-machines. - A mould for casting metals, alloys, &c. has, in addition to the cavity 6 corresponding to the article to be cast, a recess 8, communicating therewith, into which the charge of molten metal is poured and from which it is forced into the cavity 6 by a plunger 9 when the mould has been closed. The recess 8 may be lined with heat insulating material 10. In a modification the recess 8 is to one side of the cavity 6 and the plunger 9 enters it horizontally.
