Abstract
474,888. Pneumatic head treatment appliances. CROSLEY RADIO CORPORATION. April 2, 1937, No. 9458. Convention date, May 16, 1936. Addition to 474,550.. [Class 81 (ii)] In apparatus according to the parent Specification for treatment of the scalp, the helmet or cap comprises a rigid helmet-shaped member 1, and a flexible, elastic sealing member 55, detachably mounted on the rim of the former and having a pair of annular flanges 58, 59, one above the other respectively projecting inwardly from the rim and from above the rim of the helmet-shaped member to engage with the head of the user of the device. The rubber sealing member 55 is bent as shown over bead 54 on member 1 and held in position by a resilient band 60 and optional metal ring 63. A sponge rubber ring 62 is preferably mounted between the flaps 58, 59. A sponge rubber pad 61 is disposed in the top of the helmet and is apertured at 61a to correspond in position with the tube 1a connected to the pumping apparatus. The tube 1a is preferably connected to the top of the helmet.
