[Class 87 (ii)] A machine for making sheets or slabs of fibrous material such as wood wool, coconut fibre, or asbestos, and a rapidly-setting binder such as gypsum, comprises travelling mould bands j, k, each formed of pivoted segments m carrying rollers o adapted to abut against fixed guide rails s, t, while freely-moving endless steel bands w, x are interposed between each mould band and the material which is supplied continuously in a mixed condition. The mould bands j, k are driven by the arms p of driving wheels adapted to engage the pivot pins n of the segments. The sheet produced can be cut into lengths by a saw or disc knife travelling in the direction of movement of the mould bands and cutting across them. '
