474,497. Knitting -machines. BRUNNER, V. KLAUS-. Oct. 26, 1936, No. 29112. Convention date, Feb. 11. [Class 74 (ii)] In knitting-machines provided with Jacquard mechanism for lifting the needles into position so that they form tucking loops, the cams for lifting the needles to their highest position for forming normal loops are arranged so that they may be withdrawn. The upper needle-lifting cam 1 may be fixed, and the lower needlelifting cam 2 and the jack-lifting cam 3 withdrawable automatically or manually, or all three cams may be withdrawable. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also an arrangement wherein the cams are all withdrawable, as in the arrangement last referred to above, the cams 2, 3 or all three being in one piece with their carriage or screwed thereto as separate pieces. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
