491,995. Knitting-machines. KNECHT, R., and LIEBERKNECHT, K., (trading as LIEBERKNECHT, K., [Firm of]). July 6, 1937, No. 18754. Convention date, Dec. 11, 1936. [Class 74 (ii)] In a straight-bar machine, the fabric drawoff bands 3, at the ends remote from the take-up shaft 1, are provided with welt rod engaging hooks 14 and connected by cords 6 to a weight loaded shaft 11 for restoring the hooks to initial position. The welt rods 5 of a number of sections can be connected simultaneously by attaching the bands to a common take-up shaft. The bands 3 of each section are connected by a rail 16 which slides on the welt bridges 10 during the take-up and each hook 14 has an abutment 15 to prevent the rods 5 rolling away. A shaft 11 may be provided for each section.
