Abstract
Grain is cleaned by feeding it from a perforated rotary drum onto a porous conveyer band which passes between two perforated plates provided with an upper and lower suction and blowing device respectively which removes the dust. The grain may then be passed to a washing drum and is subsequently dried in a rotating drum from which it is passed along a conveyer band as described above and treated with hot air to remove the last trace of moisture.ALSO:Grain is cleaned from dirt and dust and is ground in its entirety at a temperature below 60 DEG C. so that the grain remains biologically living, e.g. by grinding at low speed. The ground grain is stored at a temperature of about 7 DEG C. to prevent deterioration.
